Shall We Dance - Alzheimer Association Benefit Dance and Silent Auction
Please join us for a benefit dance and silent auction to benefit Alzheimer Research and Awareness programs. The event will be held on Saturday, March 26 at 7 p.m. in the Martin Luther King, Jr. University Union Grand Ballroom on campus. The event will be co-hosted by the Academy of Lifetime Learning and Gowin Parc, a residential facility that provides a nurturing environment for those suffering from Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementias. Support for the event is provided by Brookstone Estates, Charleston, and G.I.V.E. (Gerontology Students Involved in Volunteer Efforts).
Admission to the event is $10 per person or $5 for EIU students and Academy of Lifetime Learning members. Anyone age 18 and over is welcome to attend. Tickets will be available at the door. Bid for your favorite silent auction items, support Alzheimer research and dance the night away. For more information, email all@eiu.edu or call 217-581-5114.

SCE Awards Ceremony on April 3
The School of Continuing Education Annual Adult Student Recognition Ceremony and Reception will be held April 3 at EIU. Scholarship winners from the Bachelor in General Studies Degree Program will be recognized and an induction ceremony of new Alpha Sigma Lambda members, the largest honorary society for adult students, will be held.
In addition, awards are given to various faculty members for their efforts in teaching off-campus. The School of Continuing Education is proud to host this event to recognize our adult students and the academic achievements they have obtained.
